The Court of Appeal has announced that it will deliver its decision on July 23, 2026, on whether to grant leave to proceed with a petition seeking the postponement of the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination.
The petition was filed by a group of students preparing to sit the upcoming A/L examination, requesting the court to issue an order postponing the examination.
The matter was taken up before a bench of the Court of Appeal, where submissions from both the petitioners and the Attorney General's Department were considered.
Following the hearing, the Court informed the parties that its determination on whether the case should proceed will be delivered on July 23.
The ruling is expected to clarify whether the Court will hear the merits of the petition regarding the request to postpone the national examination.
