At least 40 people have been killed and 11 others injured after a passenger bus overturned and plunged into a rocky ravine in Pakistan, according to international media reports.
Authorities said the accident occurred on a highway when the bus reportedly lost control before veering off the road and falling into a deep valley.
The bus was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar at the time of the incident.
Emergency responders and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene to recover victims and transport the injured to nearby hospitals for treatment.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been officially confirmed, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Road accidents involving long-distance passenger buses remain a recurring concern in Pakistan, where difficult terrain, speeding and mechanical failures have contributed to similar tragedies in the past.
