The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a fuel price revision with effect from midnight today (May 30), increasing the prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene.

According to the revised rates, Petrol 92 Octane has been increased by Rs. 24 per litre and will now be sold at Rs. 434 per litre.

Petrol 95 Octane has also been increased by Rs. 25 per litre, raising its new retail price to Rs. 495 per litre.

Meanwhile, Auto Diesel has been increased by Rs. 15 per litre to Rs. 407, while Super Diesel has risen by Rs. 20 per litre to Rs. 478.

The CPC has also increased the price of kerosene by Rs. 20 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 285 per litre.

The fuel price revision comes amid recent volatility in global oil markets and growing concerns over international energy prices.

The latest increase is expected to impact transportation costs, logistics operations and overall living expenses, as fuel prices play a key role in determining the cost of goods and services across the country.

The revised fuel prices are as follows:

• Petrol 92 Octane – Rs. 434 (up Rs. 24)

• Petrol 95 Octane – Rs. 495 (up Rs. 25)

• Auto Diesel – Rs. 407 (up Rs. 15)

• Super Diesel – Rs. 478 (up Rs. 20)

• Kerosene – Rs. 285 (up Rs. 20)

The new prices came into effect from midnight on May 30.
